Petrona Pamela Brown-Levy was born on November 14, 1945, in Jamaica, and peacefully passed away on January 29, 2026. She was a woman of strength, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Petrona was the beloved wife of Uriah Levy, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was a proud and devoted mother of nine children: Patricia, Diana, Lloyd, Carrol, Alfred, Clifford, Erica, Nikeycia, and Keneshia. She lovingly raised her children in Jamaica before migrating to Miami, Florida, in 1986, where she continued to pour her life into her family and community.

Our mother leaves behind a legacy that can't be measured in years alone. She is survived by seven of her nine children and by forty-one grandchildren. Forty-one. That's not just a number—that's a whole congregation. And if you knew our mother, you know she could handle a congregation too. With one hand she'd be praying over you, and with the other she'd be pointing you in the right direction.

There are countless stories that could be told—about her wisdom, her cooking, her discipline, her laughter, her unforgettable "don't try me" look, and her gift for turning ordinary days into lasting memories. But if her life could be summed up, it would be this:

She loved deeply.
She served faithfully.
She stood firmly.
And she gave generously.

Most of all, Petrona knew the Lord and took her faith in Christ seriously. Her belief was not reserved for Sundays—it was lived daily. It guided how she loved, forgave, endured, and led her family. Because of her faith, even in our sorrow, we have hope.

Today we mourn, but we do not mourn without confidence. We believe with full assurance that our mother is now safe in the arms of Jesus—resting in the bosom of Christ—whole, healed, and at peace.
