Will Rodgers, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on January 25, 1957, Will was a lifelong Homestead and Florida City resident known for his hard work, love of his family, and easygoing spirit. Will worked in lawn service and landscaping. Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures—especially fishing, which brought him both peace and excitement throughout his life. He was a man of kindness, known for his sense of humor, joyful presence, and warm smile. He loved to tell stories, dance, and have a good time. Will deeply loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He is survived by his sons, Tawan Philips and Trawan Phillips; his daughter, Shawana Philips; and his two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, George Rodgers (wife Caroline), Abbie Young (husband Rupert), Marilyn Rodgers and Larry Kelley; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members who loved him dearly. Will was preceded in death by his father, George Rodgers, Sr.; mother, Abbie Young; and his siblings, LJ Rodgers, Ronnie Rodgers, Charles Rodgers, Michael and Phyllis Williams.
